2009 WRAP UP

2009; BIG YEAR FOR MBDS

It was a big year for Dragons supporters in 2009 with the St George Illawarra Dragons winning their first minor premiership and it was also a big year for Dragons supporters in Melbourne.

Round 21 V Storm

MBDS held 26 events this year with a total of 875 members and guests attending the events in six different venues across inner city Melbourne. Below are this years highlights.

  • MBDS avareaged just over 33 attendances per event in 2009, a growth of 59% on last year
  • 117 members attended a function in 2009, a growth of 34% on last year.
  • Over 60 members attended 4 events or more in 2009, triple that of last year.
  • Our all time record attendance of 55 people for an event that was set in 2005 was broken four times this year. Our largest attendance of all time is now 88.
  • Friday night games were our most popular events with an average of 40 per event.

MBDS have big plans for 2010 and all will be revealed over the next few months.

A very a special thank you to all who supported MBDS in 2009 and we hope to see you back in 2010.
